Geography is a one-semester course that will focus on the different political and physical regions of the earth. With an emphasis on the Five Geographic Themes (Location, Place, Human/Environmental Interaction, Movement, and Region). More specifically, students will study the physical geography, political geography, history, government, economics and culture of various world regions. During this class students will learn about the different physical and cultural regions of the Earth, peoples’ relationship with the Earth, geographic issues at the local, national, and global levels. Throughout the semester, students will be challenged by projects, daily activities, group assignments, presentations, and research reports that help illustrate the diversity of the world.
